Curtis Jackson III , more famously known as 50 Cent, is rich. “Very, very rich,” he says with a smile. That grin has been on his face since he first stepped into the lobby at Us Weekly on this punishing summer day.

Absolutely nobody should be shocked by his wealth. The first album he released, Get Rich or Die Making a Move which came out in 1993, is the top-selling debut rap album of all time. The Final Lap Tour in the year 2000 sold more than 100 million tickets, a record that was previously only achieved by one other group ( Drake).

This is just music. There are similarly staggering figures to mention in the television films and TV shows Jackson creates as well as the brands and products he’s been a part of. At 49 fifty Cent is a big name and makes a lot of money however it wasn’t always this way.

The family was born in South Jamaica, Queens, his mother passed away when he was just 8 years old. At the age of twelve, he was selling drugs. He did not meet his father. His future was uncertain.

Sire Jackson’s son Sire is at the age of 12 himself. (Mom is 50’s ex-girlfriend Daphne Joy Narvaez.) His daily routine is comprised of playing video games, ruffhousing with his father (“I’ll put him on the couch and He’s having a blast”) and a rigorous education in the empire that he’ll one time inherit. The Sire of Jackson Spirits was named after it, and will continue to be named after his son.

In the world of entertainment, Netflix, Hulu, Peacock, Paramount+ and BET are among the major networks that are working together with Jackson’s G-Unit Film and Television on numerous shows. The new FAST channel, which is partnered with Lionsgate, 50 Cent Action is scheduled to launch later this year. It will feature Starz the entire power Series (from G-Unit, of course) and a selection of his 50’s movies and much more. Starz is home to the Jackson’s Power Universe with Power the Book I Ghost Book II, Raising Kanan and the Book III Force and the soon-to-be released Volume IV: Origins. There’s also on Starz is his wildly successful BMF brand (with spinoffs in the pipeline) and a previously airing docuseries. There are also four shows currently in production.

“I think having it be free television is a huge leap,” the man says. (Let the binge-watching of fans begin!) Then G-Unit Studios, a production facility located in Shreveport, La., is in the process of being built. The studio will become the second-largest production studio owned by Blacks which is bigger than Tyler Perry Studios in Atlanta. When you have finished reading this, Jackson will have just held the Shreveport’s Humor & Harmony Weekend, an event that spans four days and is brimming with the talent he’s gathered all the way from to Monica from Keith SweatCam’ron to Flo Rida. Proceeds go to his G-Unity Foundation.

How is he able to do everything? He claims it’s only 4 hours of sleep. Then there’s this: In January, he declared in his Instagram account that he’s “practicing abstinence… and focusing on my goals.” When asked what he’s been doing, he responds with a smile, “Well, I did it for as long as I could.” The money kept coming into his account! Here the guy is seen opening the wallet (figuratively) within the most recent edition of Us.

You’ve earned millions. Many millions. Are you a billionaire yet?

I don’t count amount of money I earn. I measure the amount of wins and successes I’ve made. I’ve surpassed everyone’s goals for me. I’m sure my long-term stability and endurance in the field have shocked many, and that’s the reason I am so passionate about it. In addition, I’m not rushing to become a billionaire. I’m at the point where I’m content with what I don’t already have. What’s the hurry? I’ve purchased every car I’ve desired, several times over.

Do things change at the billionaire levels? More cigars? More watches? You just spent $5 million on the Rolex!

When you’re publicly acknowledged as billionaires, they are looking to you with what you’ve got. The IRS could suddenly decide that they’d like an amount of 58 percent of your earnings. They’re the ambulance chasers and lawyers — there’s an army of them after you. It’s time to defend yourself, as you’ve got plenty of money.

A billionaire’s life won’t be significantly different from what I’m doing now. Once you’re there you must determine how you can give back. Then you begin to build an inheritance, and making more complex things. People remember those who assisted other people far more often than individuals who amassed wealth. They’ll be asking “How did he contribute to the lives of others? What was the significance of his accomplishment in the event that it did not impact the lives of others?”

Although many famous individuals are wealthy but only a few have reached billionaire status. The 10-figure club is made up of business and entrepreneurial giants such as Elon Musk Bill Gates and Jeff Bezos. Famous people who breathe this rare air usually have diversified their portfolios, which include a variety of investments, partnerships and […]

If you’re not a billionaire what is the word that you’d prefer people use to describe you?

Very rich. Rich would mean you’ve got a good group of people, that you’re content and that you’re enjoying a life of high quality. This is the main thing.

One person that clearly brings you joy is your son sire. What will he do someday?

That’s the concept. What’s left of me be left to be used by him. When it’s over that’s the point.

Are you educating Sire about business?

If I can keep him to stop playing his video games? Yes, that’s what I’m trying to talk with him regarding. I’m trying not to overburden him or make him feel like you’re giving him too many things that it’s like you’re trying to force him to comprehend things he’s not ready to understand. This is really just the basics since he’s just 12. I was racing in the races before the time I reached his age. [Laughs.] I’ve had a lot of knowledge.

He does however look at the company like it’s his business. The real players from the teams we’ve worked with, such as those of the Timberwolves or Anthony Edwards] attract his attention. child who then is able to see himself in the game.

On the scale of 1 to 10 what do you rate your drive and ambition?

I fluctuate around an eight. Sometimes I get distracted, and I have adjust to get in line with 10 but it’s essential to give yourself the time to pause and take in the accomplishments. It’s not uncommon for me to shift my goalposts as I reach new levels of achievement.

Let’s discuss current projects. One of the projects that has people talking is an Netflix docuseries focusing on Sean “Diddy” Combs, who is the target of lawsuits claiming sexual abuse, rape, and sexual trafficking. Combs has denied all allegations. It is What is it that makes you the best producer for this prestigious title?

I’m the sole person in hip-hop that has produced any successful television show. Why would I not be the right person to make it? And I’m not even on the tapes. Videotapes from parties were found following searches were conducted at Diddy’s residences. They’re Look around, there are people who have been in the world of entertainment don’t have any comments is because they’ve been to events, and they don’t know which part of their memories are recorded in the form of tape. They’re secluded and it appears that I’m the only one however I’ve been sayingfor a while that something’s off.

Moving to the next books: The Accomplice, the very first book in a fictional series is due out in the fall. What should we be aware of?

This is the first time that I’m launch a novel that I’m certain that I’ll transform into a film. Co-author Aaron Philip Clark is a dazzling award-winning mystery writer. There’s a female character in the novel, who is one of the very first black U.S. marshal in Texas. I emailed the synopsis to Regina Hall so she could read it.

What was the reason you chose G-Unit Studios? Why do you want to invest in production?

What I’m doing now in the field of film and television as executive producer of these projects I’m now able to offer production services. With the new equipment, I can use my studio in which to work without limitations. In music, once you’ve got enough money to buy your own recording studio and equipment, you go for it which means you don’t need any bosses and are free to go about your business. In the world of television and film it is mandatory to be accountable to somebody. When the facilities are operational, I’ll not going to report to anyone else.

It is your commitment in the Shreveport community too.

There are a lot of things you need to look at before getting to the studio weren’t working. So I was like what do you do to goand say that you’ve enjoyed your visit even if the things you see don’t work? Therefore, I started to buy properties along the stretch. I’m sure Vegas is a success by a single strip, isn’t it? If I bring it new life back, I’m sure that it will revive the town fully. The greater the challenge before me my more excited become.
