Indiana Fever (8-12) Indiana Fever (8-12) wrap up their three-game west-coast tour on Tuesday. It’s the second in a series of regular-season matches with Las Vegas Aces. Las Vegas Aces. The last game they Fever and Aces were located in Las Vegas on May 25 at Michelob ULTRA Arena. Tuesday’s game was relocated to the T-Mobile Arena, which is which is home to the NHL’s Vegas Golden Knights. Indiana along with Las Vegas will not meet for another time until the next two games consecutive games on September 11 and 13 September in Indianapolis.
The game scheduled for Tuesday will start at 9:00 p.m. ET and will be broadcast on ESPN. The game will be broadcast at 9 p.m. ET on ESPN on September 9 at 9 p.m. ET. WNBA Countdown will reveal the entire team of the 2024 WNBA All-Star Game.
In their last game at the end of last season, the Fever fell to the Aces 99-80. Even though they took an advantage of 28-24 to close in the opening quarter only three Aces gamers scored over 20 points in order to earn victory on the home court. The Aces won victory, but the Fever beat Las Vegas in paint points 34-28 and bench points in the 28-20 range.
The Fever will be playing on Tuesday after having erased the deficit of 15 points for the win by 88-82 over The Phoenix Mercury on Sunday. Sunday’s game was the 2nd game in a row where 5 Fever players scored double numbers, led by Fever center Aliyah Boston’s 17-point performance. In addition, Fever rookie guard Caitlin Clark set the franchise rookie record for the most assists (138) in her debut season by scoring 15 points with 12 assists, and nine rebound on Sunday.
Tuesday’s game is the first time that the Aces (10-6) take on T-Mobile Arena this season. The last two games of Las Vegas have been road matches with The Chicago Sky and the Washington Mystics as well as the Aces start Tuesday with a winning streak of four games. In their most recent game against The Mystics on Saturday the team had four Aces players had double figures with the top two scoring Aces player Jackie Young’s 26-point performance and Aces Guard Chelsea Gray’s 21 points. The game on Saturday was only Gray’s fourth match this season, but it was her most impressive performance since she returned to play in regular season. Gray hasn’t played since 2023’s WNBA Finals, where she sustained a foot injury on her left. Aces forward A’ja Wilson who is the league’s leader in scoring, with an average 26.9 scores per match was able to score just 11 points in her four-of-15 shooting.
Wilson who had previously topped the league in rebounds for every player in the league was recently surpassed by Sky rookie forward Angel Reese, and now is second in the league having 11.1 rebound per match. Boston is just outside the top 10, averaging 8.3 rebound per game. The guards of the Aces Jackie Young and Kelsey Plum place seventh and eleventh in the league for scoring, respectively 18.9 respectively. 17.3 points per game. Mitchell and Clark start Tuesday on 14th and 16th respectively in the league with 16.3 as well as 16.1 each game. Clark is first in assists among rookies, and is third among the athletes in the league. He averages 6.9 assists per game as Young is in sixth position, having an average of 5.4 for each match.
