California Rep. Adam Schiff demands Biden to resign
California Democratic Representative Adam Schiff released a statement declaring that it was the right the time for Biden to pass on the torch.

California Democratic Rep. Adam Schiff has called to President Biden to withdraw from a bid to re-elect him According to an interview with NPR. The news was first made public in the LA Times.
The statement said Schiff candidate, currently running to run for Senate in California He urged Biden to “pass the torch” and “secure his legacy of leadership” by permitting Democrats to take on Donald Trump.
“Joe Biden has been one of the most consequential presidents in our nation’s history, and his lifetime of service as a Senator, a Vice President, and now as President has made our country better,” Schiff wrote. “But our nation is at a crossroads. A second Trump presidency will undermine the very foundation of our democracy, and I have serious concerns about whether the President can defeat Donald Trump in November.”
Schiff is the most well-known Democrat to have called for Biden to quit.
When asked for a response to a question, the Biden campaign referred to Biden’s events during the campaign this week. Biden is located in Las Vegas campaigning with members of the Congressional Black and Hispanic caucuses.
Biden has repeatedly said that he will not drop from the contest and he believes that the most qualified person to lead his party throughout the campaign.
Schiff continued to state that the final decision will be left to Biden and he’ll vote for the candidate of the party whoever it is.
In recent weeks, Biden has acknowledged that there is some doubts within his party. “The story goes [former President Harry] Truman said, if you want a friend in Washington, get a dog,” Biden stated at during the NAACP Annual Convention held in Las Vegas. “After the last couple of weeks, I know what he means.”
Schiff’s announcement comes amid a new push by timid Democrats to Biden to resign. The calls were tempered after the attempted assassination attempt on Trump during a rally Saturday, in Pennsylvania. But the fervor as well as the confidence Republicans that were displayed during the Republican National Convention paired with recent polls that show a decline in support for Biden is driving Democrats fearful of.
The frustrations of Biden have been amplified over the last few days, because they learn that the Democratic National Committee is preparing to announce Biden the nominee of the party in the form of a virtual roll call that could occur weeks before the party’s convention, which begins on the 19th of August Chicago.
