Katie Ledecky Gets Emotional in the aftermath of a free press conference for 400
Katie Ledecky gave an emotional post-race interview following the 400 free final. She reflected about her performance as well as the community she was part of.

Katie Ledecky reflected on her bronze medal performance in the 400 free during a press conference after the final in Paris.
“It was a great race that I had a possibility that I would not had the medal, and I’m happy for that, thankful for the work I put into the race, satisfied with my medal and eagerly awaiting my next race,” Ledecky said.
“I don’t think I’ve come up with the number of 400 I’m capable of but I’m sure it’s out the right place.”
Ledecky then spoke about her experience training alongside people similar to Bobby Finke and Kieran Smith She was emotional as she talked about the impact that the individuals around her in the sport have been able to have on her.
“It’s an extremely special group of people and that’s why I enjoy the sport so much. It’s because I am able to spend my days with the people I love, Bobby and Kieran and my coaches, and anyone else who believes in my abilities and pushes me forward, and I’m sure the confidence I’ve been in today is a tribute to them.”
