After Dallas scored in its next two drives each of Lance’s last three drives ended with an interception, which included an interception that resulted in a pick-six. The three selections were made during the last 4:44 in the match, the last one occurring on the final play of the game.

It’s been a tough career for Lance who was selected to the San Francisco 49ers after they swapped from No. 12 to No. 3 in the draft to secure who they believed was the son of Jimmy Garoppolo.

After being given the start from 2022 onwards, Lance was injured in the second week of his season and the appearance from Brock Purdy pushed Lance to the bench.

San Fran traded Lance to Dallas just one year ago in exchange for a fourth-round selection.

As of now, Lance figures to be the third quarterback in the lineup behind Dak Prescott as well as Cooper Rush. The Cowboys did not accept Lance’s fifth-year option this offseason, meaning Lance will be an unrestricted free agent following this season.
