No. 23 USC scores a touchdown in the last seconds to defeat No. 13 LSU
No. 23 USC scored an important touchdown with only eight seconds remaining to bring home a victory of 27-20 against No. thirteen LSU at the end of Sunday’s game at Las Vegas.

It was the beginning of new eras for both USC and LSU , but only one of them got off to an ideal start.
Miller Moss, only replacing Miller Moss, who is only replacing. 1 overall selection Caleb Williams, had ice in his veins while driving through the field in the final minutes to aid players from the 22nd-ranked Trojansget victory with a 27-20 win against No. 13 LSU in Las Vegas on Sunday night.
The game was locked at 20 minutes with 1:47 left, and an opportunity to timeout in place, it was all USC required. Moss completed five of his initial passes on the drive. Then, with just 18 seconds remaining, Kyron Hudson completed his second one-handed catch of the game to get the Trojans within field goal range.

Following the celebration Following the celebration, the LSU’s Jardin Gilbert was cited for a hit, placing the Trojans on 13 at the LSU 13. Woody Marks then ran it to score his second goal of the game and gave USC an advantage of 27-20 over LSU with just eight seconds remaining. Garrett Nussmeier’s initial pass to the miracle drive was cut off, and he was able to give USC victory.
The above Hudson was a player who could be the most impressive catch of the season earlier in the game in the second half, and the Trojans reached the goal line just two minutes later, scoring the Marks score that made it 7-0.

But, LSU scored on a Kyren Lacy touchdown during the next drive. Following the touchdown, however the player appeared shooting a weapon which resulted in a 15-yard penalty during the kickoff. USC did well but was forced to settle for an attempt at a field goal. LSU also scored but USC did not score the field goal right after the half was over and entered the locker room with a 10-10 tie.
Both teams traded punts in the beginning of the second period and USC was able to find an upright in the center about midway through the third. LSU was able to respond with a seven-play 75-yard touchdown drive that culminated with Nussmeier’s second touchdown this time, to Aaron Anderson.
In the middle of the fourth quarter, USC found themselves at LSU’s 36-yard mark and chose to try their luck on the 4th and 9 however, Moss passed was deemed to be ineffective. However, after forcing a three-and out game, the Trojans required just three plays to gain the lead. Moss connected with Ja’Kobi Lane to make an impressive over-the-shoulder touchdown catch that give USC in front 20-17 with 5:44 remaining. LSU however, scored a field goal that tied the game during their next drive. However, it was not enough.
Moss finished 27 of 36 passes to record a career-high 378 yards. Marks carried 68 yards in his 16 carries. Two of which led to touchdowns.

In the role of replacing reigning Heisman award Heisman Trophy winner Jayden Daniels was immediately after Williams during the NFL Draft, Nussmeier impressed with his 29-for-38 performance for 304 yards in the air.. Lacy was the top receiver with seven catches for 94 yards.
USC is expected to rise quite a bit in the rankings. They are scheduled to return on Saturday for a game against Utah State. It will be fascinating to see where LSU is, however when they play Nicholls this weekend.
