A former New England Patriots wide receiver Danny Amendola is joining this season’s “Dancing with the Stars” cast.
Amendola, who has won two Super Bowls and was a player in the third for five seasons at New England He was featured in the Wednesday edition of “Good Morning America” as one of the players competing to win the Mirrorball Trophy.
Amendola demonstrated his moves in the end zone that he plans to show on the dance floor. He also received an especial message from his the former teammates Rob Gronkowski.
“You bring that Dola competitive energy to the dance floor and you are sure to dominate the kids. The entire package. You’ve got the look You’ve been blessed with feet and a speed, buddy,” Gronkowski said. “I will be watching and cheering you on, ‘Dola.’ Let’s go!”
Amendola quit the Patriots following the 2017 season, becoming free agent, and signed the two-year contract worth $12 million to the Miami Dolphins before he was released in the year 2019.
Amendola was also featured on her role in the Apple TV+ docuseries “The Dynasty.”
Amendola will join “Bachelorette” Jenn Tran and Jenn Tran and Team USA gymnast Stephen Nedoroscik the Worcester native who has won 2 bronze medals in the Paris Olympics on the show’s current season to premiere on Sept. 17. ABC.
