‘Bob’s Burgers’ & ‘Anchorman’ Actor Jay Johnston Pleads Guilty To Felony Charge Related To January 6 Capitol Siege
The voice actor from ‘Bob’s burgers’ actor Jay Johnston has agreed to admit guilt to federal charges arising from his involvement in the attack of January 6 at Capitol Hill in the U.S. Capitol.

UPDATED with latest: Former Bob’s Burgers voice actor Jay Johnston today pleaded guilty to a federal charge stemming from his participation in the January 6 attack on the U.S. Capitol. He has been charged with civil disorder, a felony.
Johnston 55, may be sentenced to a maximum to five years’ imprisonment however, sentencing guidelines suggest between eight and fourteen months of prison. The court hearing is scheduled for October. 7.
Other credits of Johnston’s are Anchorman, Men in Black II and Better Call Saul.
Prior to June 25, The former Bob’s Burgers voice actor Jay Johnston accepted today a plea deal to admit guilt to federal charges arising from his involvement in the January 6 terrorist attack at the U.S. Capitol. The 55-year-old actor, who’s credits comprise Better Call Saul and Mr. Show featuring Bob and David He is charged with a variety of offenses such as disorderly and civil disorder or disruptive behavior within an area that is restricted to buildings or grounds.
The hearing to change his plea is scheduled for the 8th of July on the 8th of July in Los Angeles. Find out more about this case in the following.
Prior to that, 7 June 2023Jay Johnston has been arrested in Los Angeles for his participation in the insurrection on January 6 and the attack at Capitol Hill in the U.S. Capitol.
The Bob’s Burgers actor surrendered himself to the FBI in its Field Office on Wednesday one day following it was announced that the Justice Department issued warrant for the actor (read the warrant here). Johnston is scheduled to appear to appear before a federal judge later today. (Update 7:45 pm:Johnston made his initial appearance in U.S. District Court this afternoon. He was released on bail of $25,000 and scheduled to appear in an online hearing the 13th of June. )
In connection with the “group assault,” according to court documents, Johnston is accused of obstruction of law enforcement officers in the course of their work and misdemeanors for accessing a restricted area and hindering the execution of official activities ( read it here).

Around March 8th 2021, an attorney called the FBI’s National Threat Operations Center (“NTOC”) and claimed that they was representing JAY JAMES JOHNSTON, who was the subject of the public release of photographs 247-AFO.
The FBI has questioned three former or current associates of JOHNSTON All of them recognized JOHNSTON as the person in the above photos of 247-AFO. One of the associates provided the FBI with an SMS message in which JOHNSTON admitted to being in the Capitol on the 6th of January and stated that “The news media have presented the event as a threat. The truth is that it was not. I thought it was going to turn into the other. It was a disaster. I was maced, as well as tear gassed. I was a bit disappointed.”
The records of United Airlines show that JOHNSTON had a round-trip reservation for a flight starting from Los Angeles, California to Washington, D.C. departing on January 4, 2021, and return on the 7th of January 2021.
More than 1,000 people who rioted on January 6 have been arrested to date more than 280 of them in jail or 490 who were sentenced.
