PHOENIX — About a week before President Joe Biden announced that he would not seek reelection, Arizona Senator Mark Kelly’s name was thrown out as a potential replacement as the Democratic nominee.

Bluelabs Analytics interviewed over 15,000 voters in seven states in the battleground in order to “test whether different options for the Democratic nominee would increase or decrease vote share.”

The results revealed that Kelly was among the most popular candidates to defeat Trump by polling 5 points ahead of Biden in the battleground states.

“And while three of our top performers have home states within the battleground, all of them performed well in other states as well,” the study found.

Other candidates included Maryland Governor Wes Moore, Pennsylvania Governor Josh Shapiro and Michigan Governor Gretchen Whitmer.

Kelly has announced her support for Kamala Harris for the Democratic candidate.

“I couldn’t be more confident that Vice President Kamala Harris is the right person to defeat Donald Trump and lead our country into the future,” Kelly stated on the X. “She has my support for the nomination, and Gabby and I will do everything we can to elect her President of the United States.”

The comments posted on the X post suggest that some would like to think of Kelly as an X-running partner.

I can’t believe more I am confident that the Vice-President Kamala Harris is the perfect candidate to take on Donald Trump and lead our nation to the future. I am in support of the nomination in addition, Gabby as well as I are going to do all we can to get her elected as President for the United States.
