NASHVILLE (TENNESSEE), JUNE 29, 2024 – Nashville Soccer Club lost 2-1 against Inter Miami CF, the first team in Major League Soccer’s history. Despite a goal by Hany Mukhtar that saw the midfielder becoming the sixth player to reach 100 goals in Major League Soccer’s history.

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (June 29, 2024) – Nashville Soccer Club fell 2-1 to first place Inter Miami CF in front of a sellout crowd at GEODIS Park Saturday night despite a goal from Hany Mukhtar which saw the midfielder become the sixth player in Major League Soccer history to register 100 goal contributions over a four-year span.
Mukhtar Magic: Hany Mukhtar, Nashville SC’s all-time top scorer and the first designated player, became the sixth player to reach 100 goals (59 goals, 41) in MLS history. Mukhtar is Nashville SC’s leading scorer this season, with 12 MLS goals (5 goals and 7 assists).
Three in a row: Nashville SC’s Forster Ajago played his third consecutive match Saturday night. He logged MLS career high 23 minutes, plus 10 extra minutes. Ajago spent 33 minutes on the field, during which the Boys in Gold created six scoring opportunities.
Shorthanded The two Nashville SC regulars who were not available against Miami due to international duty in the Conmebol Copa America ™ group stage: Jacob Shaffelburg and Shaq Moore. Shaffelburg started for Canada Saturday night, logging 65 minutes in the team’s Quarterfinal-clinching scoreless draw with Chile.
