Welcome back, Strandistas! I’m back helping you solve every day Strands for this week, taking the reins from the team of Paul Tassi. It’s been some time since I took over the reins of this column, and I’m thrilled to be back because today’s game was so great fun.

Each day, we’re presented with an exciting theme, and we are tasked with finding every word on the grid that correspond to the theme. This includes the spangram which extends across 2 sides. Today’s Strands Breakdown
This was a lot of fun which brought me back to when my children were little and we read books like The Very Hungry Caterpillar, Goodnight Moon, Where the Wild Things Areand other such books. I also like the way the grid looks visually appealing, using the spangram as well as WATERMELON all almost spiralling around the middle. I was not sure of what Carle classic was until I came across LEAF. I came across it just after I discovered PILLAR. When I first noticed LEAF I knew that PILLAR was a part of CATERPILLAR. However, when that didn’t work, I searched for HUNGRY and put them together. From there, WATERMELON came easily enough and then the rest the words were easy to remember.
