Oasis fans are all worked up again thanks to fresh reunion rumours , fuelled by some typically tongue-in-cheek posts from former frontman Liam Gallagher.

On the evening of Saturday (24 August) there was a report that the groupwere planning a huge reunion in 2025, which would include large-scale concerts that will take place in Manchester as well as London.

Reunion rumors have been on high gear for the last year, due in part to the apparent end of the war that existed between Liamand the older sibling and former bandmate, Noel.

Fans were astonished this week when Noel made a number of praises for Liam during an interview John Robb at Manchester’s Sifters Records.

“It’s the delivery or the tone of his voice and the attitude,” Liam spoke of Liam’s performance in hit songs such as “Slide Away”, “Cigarettes and Alcohol” and “Rock ‘N’ Roll Star”.

“I don’t have the same attitude as him,” Noel continued by comparing Liam’s voice with “a shot of tequila” and his voice to “half a Guinness”.

“Liam’s is 10 shots of tequila on a Friday night,” he said in a joke.

Today, the Sunday Times says that an announcement could be announced as early like this week which would be around the 30-year anniversary celebration of their first album Perhaps.

Fans have been bouncing around on social media, chatting about the speculations ahead of Liam’s main performance at the Reading Festival.

“This is what the UK needs to hear right now,” one fan wrote. “If true, what an immense, welcome, and needed comeback.”

“This is the first moment in 15 years when I actually think it’s gonna happen,” another person said.

“If we can do this, we can solve climate change,” one fan jokingly said, while another stated: “If Oasis reunite, I will fly myself, my wife and our baby across the globe to Manchester and spend all our savings.”

Liam has responded to fans who have asked him to confirm the reports.

“Are the Oasis reunion rumours true?” one fan asked. To which he replied: “Honest to me I’ve not heard a peep.”

If someone inquired about when the dates for the reunion would be made public, he said: “Next Friday.”

When a skeptical person was criticized in this Sunday Timesarticle by saying that Heaton Park in Manchester was an “terrible venue for concerts”, Liam said: “See you down the front you big fanny.”

This month the son of Liam Gene revealed to The Timesthat Liam’s dad was planning reunions, echoing comments made of Liam himself over the last few times.

“I get the feeling my dad wants it,” he added. “Let’s be hopeful that it will happen. It’s much easier to talk about after a few pints.”

Gene said that this is “nothing to do with” his life, “I mean, will they? I’m not sure. I would love to do it, but it’s completely out of the control of me.”

In a conversation last this year, Noel – who had previously said he would not rule out any possibility of a reunion, joked that he’d need to check “what everyone’s hair was looking like”.

“My hair was a bit thicker in Oasis,” the actor told an interviewer for Gibson’s “Icons” series. He added that a reunion could comprise his son Liam along with “a load of fit f***ing birds”.
