‘Scarface’ Actor Angel Salazar Dead at 68
Angel Salazar — best well-known as Al Pacino’s reliable partner “Chi Chi” in the iconic gangster movie “Scarface” — has passed away, TMZ has learned.

Angel Salazar -, best known for his role as the trusted sidekick of Al Pacino “Chi Chi” in the famous gangster film “Scarface” — has passed away, TMZ has learned.
Salazar’s representative and close acquaintance, Ann Wingsong, tells TMZ … the actor died in his rest in his close friend’s Brooklyn home this weekend.
On a Sunday morning, Wingsong said, the acquaintance went to examine Salazar in a bedroom and found his body lying in a the bed. The cause of death wasn’t divulged, but the spokesperson claimed that Salazar was suffering from heart problems.
In his early days of acting, Salazar landed the role of Chi Chi, the devoted character henchman of Pacino’s famed Tony Montana character in the 1983 Brian DePalma directed film “Scarface.”
The fans of the film will not be able to forget Chi Chi saving Tony’s life in the”chainsaw scene. “chainsaw scene.” They’ll also not forget Chi Chi’s gruesome loss at the end the film when his back is filled with bullets from a hit team that was hired by a drug business kingpin Alejandro Sosa.
