Simone Biles hurts her leg in Olympic gymnastics, yet she still ranks 1st in the event.
The gymnast appeared to hurt her lower leg while warming her up for a floor exercise. After covering her ankle and lower leg with an athletic tape that was heavy the gymnast was back in competition and was successful.

On the day she started her preparations ahead of the 2024 Olympic Games, the gymnast Simone Biles appeared to injure her leg during warm-up for an exercise. The injury caused anxiety, but it didn’t stop her from competing and coming in first.
Following the game, Biles’s coach, Cecile Landi was unable to explain the severity of her injury had been. “She felt something inside her calf region,” Landi said.
Despite the injury, Biles received top marks and a record-setting 15.8 on the vault. Alongside the strong performances of her team Biles did enough to earn the opportunity team for the U.S. women’s gymnastics team at the all-around final on Tuesday. it is anticipated to be that this year’s U.S. is a favorite to win gold. The all-around final for individual competition will take place on Thursday.
There’s no doubt “at the moment” about Biles’s ability to take part in these contests, Landi said.

Biles was able to injure her leg during a warm-up for the floor exercise the second equipment that evening. After she made a mistake, Biles went off at an ebb and flow from the mat. She then conferred with her coaches prior to disappearing briefly off the mat. Afterward Biles returned to the mat, with her ankle and lower calf wrapped in the thick athletic tape.
However, despite the injury Biles was able to complete her remaining routines and score an amazing 15.8 for the vault. “Never in her mind” did she have any doubt of whether she’d be able to continue, Landi said.
The expectations for Biles and the other athletes of the U.S. women’s gymnastics team are very high for this year’s Olympic Games in Paris.
Biles 27 has shown her skills at the highest level of her career since her return to competition over the past two years after a break of. Biles is believed to be the best chance to win the minimum of three medals in gold. Biles is also expected to be the winner of the team’s overall gold for the U.S.
A minor injury could bring those goals on hold. “First foremost I’d like to make sure that she’s physically fit and then we’ll take it further,” said women’s team technical director Chellsie Memmel. “What she did appearing to be experiencing discomfort or pain in her lower leg awe-inspiring. “
Biles suffered a minor issue with her calves throughout March. Landi said. “After this issue was fixed, it was gone. It arose a bit more today,” Landi said. “Just some discomforts around her calves. “

U.S. women’s team finished their qualifying round in the top spot on the team’s ranking. The gymnasts Jordan Chiles and Sunisa Lee who is the current gold medalist in the all-around individual competition, both placed 3.5 points less that Biles.
“Their purpose clearly is to leave with the gold medal,” Memmel said.
In the three rounds of the Sunday of her show, Biles performed last. In the end, when her competitors sat down, they managed to grab the interest which was about 15,000 that included famous actors Snoop Dogg Tom Cruise and Anna Wintour who had traveled a lot to see her.
