ForbesToday’s NYT ‘Connections’ Hints And Answers For Friday, July 5By Kris Holt
Hello to the weekend everybody! I hope you have a great time planned. I’m looking forward to spending time with my family and friends. I’m not too concerned about what we do so long as it’s done together.
Today’s NYT Connections clues and solutions are right up.
How To Play Connections
When playing Connections You’re given a grid consisting of 16 words. The task is to organize the words into groups that are four by working out the relationships between the words. These groups could be anything like horror film franchises, the verb form, or rappers.
There is only one answer for each puzzle, so you’ll have to be cautious in the case of words that could fall in multiple categories. It’s possible to shuffle the words in order to assist in identifying the connections between the words.
Each group is colored. Yellow is generally the easiest to deduce Blue and green lie in the middle, while that purple one is usually the most difficult to determine. The purple group usually involves words, so keep the thought in your mind.
Choose four words you believe are related and then press submit. If you attempt to assumption that’s wrong you’ll lose one life. If you’re near to having the correct group, you could get a message saying that you’re just one second away from getting the right answer However, you’ll have to decide which to switch.
If you make four errors then it’s over. Make sure that does not happen by making use of a few hints and, if you’re truly struggling, check out today’s Connections solutions.

There’s no perfect game today Unfortunately, however, my streak of wins currently has stretched to five games.
My initial thought was off. It was merely because there were two letters within the middle of each word that included Freeze, RATTLE BOTTLE, SPOONS and RATTLE. I couldn’t find anything that could be associated with CELL, PHONE and MOBILE also, so I went at other options.
WASHBOARD was my first step into the blues. This was a point I was able to get at the very first attempt, despite the presence of RATTLE as an red herring. The yellows came next and then the greens. I couldn’t find out what was the link between the purple group prior to writing the words, but I didn’t need to.

P.S. In continuation of the power pop theme of yesterday Here’s Fountains of Wayne’s greatest smash. “Stacy’s Mom” is catchy and incredibly catchy. Adam Schlesinger sure knew how to compose a great pop track.
