Violet Affleck, 18, speaks out against mask bans and discloses she was suffering from post-viral conditions.

Daughter of Ben Affleck and Jennifer Garner is now a registered voter and she’s eager to use her voice.

Violet Affleck is raising awareness about a topic that’s close to her heart.

The daughter of Jennifer Garner and Ben Affleck attended an Los Angeles County Board of Supervisors Meeting on the 9th of July and asked officials in the county to oppose mask bans and to ensure the availability of masks to vulnerable groups.

In an audio clip of the session in which she addressed the supervisory board and presented herself as an “Los Angeles resident” and “first-time voter.” Then, she shared the reasons the reasons she is so passionate about safeguarding others from harmful virus.

“I developed a post-viral disease in the year 2019. I’m now fine but I’ve witnessed firsthand that medical professionals don’t always know the effects of even minor infections. The COVID-19 epidemic has brought this into sharper focus,” she said.

Affleck continued to discuss the risks associated with COVID that is long-lasting.

“One in 10 infections leads to long COVID, which is a devastating neurological (and) cardiovascular illness that can take away people’s ability to work, move, see and even think,” she added.

The precise number of people with long COVID (defined as symptoms related to COVID-19 that last for more than three months — remains unknown. However, an investigation from 2022 by the U.S. Centers of Disease Control and Prevention discovered that 7 percent of patients were diagnosed with it at some moment in time. Experts have estimated that COVID for long duration can affect between 2 and 5 percent for patients. TODAY.com earlier reported.

The symptoms of COVID that last a long time can range from neurological like brain fog, cardiovascular issues, such as blood clots and severe discomfort and fatigue.

In the years following the epidemic, a lot of people have stopped wearing masks when they go out in public. Yet, Affleck urged county officials to ensure that people who need or want additional protection against the virus are provided with masks and other methods of prevention.

“To confront the long COVID crisis, I demand mask availability, air filtration and far-UVC light in government facilities, including jails and detention centers, and mask mandates in county medical facilities,” she added.

Affleck was also adamant about “(expanding) the availability of high-quality free tests and treatment” and he also argued against Mask bans “for any reason.”

“(Mask bans) don’t make us secure. They render vulnerable members of our community feel less secure and reduce the ability of everyone to enjoy Los Angeles together,” she stated at the conclusion of her statement.

The use of a face mask may reduce the risk of transmitting respiratory viruses, according to the CDC.

In the event that Affleck recently graduated from high school her mother, who was proud of her daughter posted a pictureof her looking emotional during the graduation ceremony.

“Tell me that you are graduated, but don’t tell me that you graduated. (bless the hearts of our children ),” she captioned the tweet.

Affleck and her two siblings have been kept out of the spotlight throughout the years, however she was seen with her motherat an event at the White House state dinner in 2022.
