A third child has passed away due to a knife assault within Southport, England, and two adults and five children remain in critical condition according to the police on Tuesday.

A 9-year-old girl passed away in the hospital in morning hours on Tuesday morning, the police reported in a statement. two girls aged 6 and 7 passed away on Monday because of injuries.

The incident that the police chief in the area, Serena Kennedy, described as “ferocious,” took place in a dance class inspired by Taylor Swift class for children ranging from between 6 and 11. A 17-year old boy was taken into custody and being interrogated by police.

Ms. Swift stated in an Instagram post about the attack in her Instagram the account that she is “completely shocked.”

“The terror of the attack that took place yesterday in Southport is still gushing over me constantly,” she wrote, noting: “The loss of life and innocence, as well as the horrific trauma it caused to everyone involved as well as the families and the first responders. They were all just kids in dancing class.”

The Prime Cabinet Minister Keir Starmer is scheduled to attend the event this Tuesday. Rachel Reeves, the chancellor of the Exchequer has told Sky News.
